Chicago artist Loona Dae released her EP “Moonflower” and it is one of the most impressive projects we’ve heard so far this year. Loona Dae also released a magnificent and vibrant single “Summertime (U Remind Me)” earlier this year and the amount of progression Loona Dae has done is absolutely outstanding. Loona Dae is also a backup singer for the Zero Fatigue label and has performed at festivals like Made In America, Lollapalooza, Afropunk, and Pitchfork.
Loona Dae teams up with Dee Lilly, Lon Renzell of THEMpeople, Ben Hixon, Eddie Burns of Burns Twin, and Chris Hogan to create a beautiful piece of music that will evolve the sound of R&B. Within “Moonflower” Loona Dae crafts a beautiful journey of organic vocal harmonies over vibe filled synth lined instrumentals with airy atmospheric backing lines. The project also features brighter more organic tracks to create a beautiful contrast between light and dark.
This project is simply amazing and gives us here at Normalize a glimpse into what the future of RnB will be like. Stay in tune with Normalize as we cover artists like Loona Dae and many more.
